I read your comments on Cain & Abel. All I can say is WOW! Your thoughts are silly at best, and dangerous at worst. I guess anyone with some time and a computer can have a blog. If you read Mathew Henry's commentary, as you say you did. Then you'd know that Cain was banished from his family (who by the way, also live in the land of Nod) and cursed to roam as a vagabond. He went further east from his family in the land of Nod. He was banished from the face of God meaning he would no longer have a relationship with God. He would no longer have access to the place of worship, that was set up by God, he was on his own.
That is just one of the thoughts you haphazardly put together. I don't have time or the patience, to correct. Please for your sake and your readers spend a little more time on preparation before you write your Bible blog. I hate to think it but you may be the only Btble someone reads

You are right, I did not read Matthew Henry's commentary in full, I just scan through them in general and look for how they defend certain ideas.

Did Cain's family also reside in Nod? Perhaps, I don't see that this is in the text itself, but it fits with it, so fine. The important detail as far as I am concerned is that he is "hidden from the face of the lord" (gen 4:14) and "Cain went away from the presence of the lord" (gen 4:16). This is not describing the omniscient, omnipresent God I learned about growing up.
